A decorative pattern is first embossed into the copper plate, and it is then polished to bring up its rich sheen, whereupon it is sealed with a clear lacquer to maintain its shine. It then goes to the Heraldic Artist who Hand-Paints your Family Crest onto it. Your Family Name is Hand-Painted on the top of the copper plate, with the Family Motto on the bottom.
